The Lea County Sheriff's Department has two mobile speed trailers that can be placed on any public road in the unincorporated areas of Lea County. These trailers act as a reminder to the drivers in the selected locations of the speeds they are traveling. The increased traffic congestion in Lea County makes the following of posted speed limits more important as ever. Please buckle your seat belts and observe the posted speed limits anytime you travel in Lea County.
